New Visa rule announced in Oman

Muscat: Applications for Tourist Visas to the Sultanate of Oman will only be available online from 21st Mar 2018 onwards. With the advent of the new rule, passengers who are currently eligible for Visa on Arrival in Oman can have a hassle-free entry into Oman avoiding the long queues at the visa desks on arrival.

As per the new directives issued by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) Immigration Department, all passengers traveling to Oman by air or road should have their e-visa prior to travel. Applications for Tourist Visas will have to be made in advance through the user-friendly ROP portal, https://evisa.rop.gov.om/.

As per ROP, all eligible passengers can apply for an unsponsored visa by going through a short online process starting with user registration followed by submitting application with relevant supporting documents.
